M.R. Cosby is a writer, illustrator and graphic designer; also a reader and collector of books by Robert Aickman.​

 

He has had a lifelong interest in dark literature, which started after being exposed to the Pan collections of horror stories at a tender age.

 

He began writing his memoirs some years ago, which, though still incomplete, provided the inspiration for his first collection of strange stories, Dying Embers.

 

Martin was the Creative Director of a large publishing firm, working on a varied stable of magazines. During this time he contributed to many features as a journalist and his appetite for writing was thoroughly whetted.

 

Martin is currently working on his next collection of short stories, organising his family, and thinking about a novel.
